Earthlodge

Roughly 1,000+ sq ft site of  The Earthlodge Center for Transformation, a spiritual, diverse, and inclusive sanctuary where people transform their trauma into healing and justice. Earthlodge serves queer (LGBTQ+), POC, women, children, and men who support the rise of feminine energy on the planet.

The goal was to mitigate environmental toxicity (due to proximity to the 710 freeway and the LA Port) and move a succession of compact, degraded dirt to microbially-rich soil through a process of aerating the ground, applying bio-complete and biodynamic compost and Catalyst BioAmendments compost extract. Leaves of existing trees were washed of particulate matter; tree roots were injected with Catalyst BioAmendments compost extract. Diverse cover crops, a variety of native plants, and hardy, succulent groundcovers were also planted and were either covered or mulched with alfalfa.
